Meet the Team

In addition to the three principals below, the team really includes all the folks and companies that make and supply the wind turbines, solar panels, towers, racks, all the electronics, and also some of our family members that lend a hand on certain installations. Without meaning to sound like an Academy Award speech, there are so many people behind the expertise, engineering and technology that go into an installation, we can’t possibly include them all… but you know who you are, and we thank you!

Darryl Fuller, Master Electrician

You could say that Darryl has electricity in his blood, having worked in the family’s business, Fuller “Save Watts” Electrical, Inc. alongside his father since 1981 – and as the owner and managing partner since June of 2000.

Born and raised in Haltom City, Texas and a graduate of Haltom High School in 1982, Darryl went on to graduate from the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Union Joint Apprenticeship Training Center as a journeyman electrician in 1986 and obtained his Master Electricians license in 1989.

Darryl has been a keen observer of the renewable sector for more than 15 years, seeing the ups and downs as various administrations played havoc with the industry with short-term incentives and conflicting policies. However, four years ago, as the price and efficiency of solar panels, or PV modules, reached a level that made economical sense, he made the decision to turn his interest into education and working knowledge. Darryl continues to attend numerous workshops, training and certification classes to broaden his knowledge and keep abreast of the latest innovations entering the market place.

Darryl formed Get Natural Energy Wind & Solar, LLC with Todd Ledbetter of Aero Electric, in a joint venture to create a company 100% dedicated to the design, sales, installation and service of renewable energy systems. Like Darryl, Todd has a great respect for the environment and wants to be a leading advocate in educating and assisting those wanting to become more energy independent.

Darryl has been married for 25 years to Karen Rollins Fuller, has two grown sons and 2 grandchildren.  Darryl’s main perspective on life is always put the Lord Jesus Christ first in all things you do.  He is a devoted husband, father and grandfather always being there for his family.

Todd Ledbetter, Master Electrician

A graduate of Cleburne High School in May of 1988, Todd started his electrical apprenticeship in September of the same year. Todd spent 5 years as an apprentice and then worked as a journeyman electrician for 4 years before starting Aero Electric, his own electrical contracting business.

Specializing in commercial and industrial work, Todd’s company became recognized in the airport sector as a leader in the installation of passenger boarding bridges. His extensive travels have also taken him to places like Costa Rica where his company installed a centrifuge system to produce pharmaceutical grade aloe vera products.

Through the years Todd has increasingly become an advocate of clean energy and his work has progressively turned to wind and solar installations. Todd and Darryl’s company’s worked on several wind, solar and hybrid systems together before they decided to join forces and form Get Natural Energy Wind & Solar, LLC

He believes new investments in the renewable energy field will continuously bring more efficient and economically viable products to the residential, farm, ranch and small business market in the near future, and has positioned the company to take full advantage.

Todd married his high school sweetheart, Charla Payne in June 1990 and together they have two beautiful girls, Kassaundra and Chassidy. He believes in putting God first, family and then work.

Cal Morton

Though he likes people to think of him as the Bergey Man, for his infinite loyalty and respect for Bergey Wind Turbines, he was actually born Thelton Calvert Morton III…  so you can understand why he goes by Cal.

It was while living in England thirteen years ago, that Cal got bit by the wind bug as he saw the first commercial wind turbines being erected at the Nissan factory along the route of his daily commute. With energy prices on average 2-3 times higher than those in Texas, a gallon of gas for instance sells for over $8; he looked on in envy as those massive blades cranked out energy from an everlasting, ‘free’ and natural resource. If you are fortunate enough to already own a wind or solar system you know he feels – that sense of responsibility gained from meeting your own needs.

For most of his professional life, Cal has been an investment management professional, from his early days at A.G. Edwards & Sons’ Dallas office, to Merrill Lynch International Private Bank in London. While still in the UK, in 2004, foreseeing the marketing opportunities by the near ubiquitous nature of mobile phones in Europe at that time, before people in U.S. knew what a text message was, he co-founded Interlinked Media Ltd., one of the pioneers in application development for mobile devices.

Cal’s professional background in investment management and analysis, his entrepreneurial success in mobile applications, and his enduring passion for harnessing the power of the wind, we feel makes him uniquely qualified to lead the company’s efforts in educating our clients on the financial, environmental and philosophical rewards of being more energy independent. For Cal, harnessing the energy of the wind and sun is  about more than a way to make a living; it’s become a means to live in closer harmony with the world, in what we believe is the beginning of a pioneering age in the renewable energy markets.

Cal is a graduate of Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi.
